CASE STUDIES

Scald (hand)

Patient: Male, 5 years old
Findings: Partial thickness burn on left hand
Treatment: Single application of SUPRATHEL® following debridement
Outcome: Complete epithelization by day 12 with full range of motion
Source: Dr. C Uhlig, Burn Center Marienhospital Stuttgart, Germany

Initial presentation, prior to thorough debridement and SUPRATHEL® application

Re-harvesting at donor site

Patient: Male, 13 years old
Findings: Severe mixed-depth burns, 95% TBSA, the upper scalp was the only available donor site
Treatment: Re-harvesting was possible approximately 10 days after SUPRATHEL® application following re-epithelialization, the same donor site was re-harvested 12 times
Outcome: At 3.5 year follow-up, the repeatedly harvested donor site demonstrated favorable long-term scar quality

Scald (body)

Patient: Male, 38 years old
Findings: Extensive mixed-depth scald burns, 95% TBSA, ABSI 13
Treatment: Single application of SUPRATHEL® following debridement
Outcome: Survival with complete re-epithelialization across nearly all affected areas, only 7% TBSA required CEA coverage
